I have to shrug my shoulders

This is the third of 5 Original songs, and it goes by the name of "She freaks". It came out of an afternoon of experimental jamming with my pal "Steve Morgan". I'd done a rough sketch of the song before, and all the missing bits had been filled in by the end of the session. The song is about two people in a relationship. One of them is very calm and collected, and the other is short tempered. It's not just the girl that flips. It can be the other way around. Some will listen and know exactly what I'm talking about. Take a listen and make your own mind up.

It's another tune that didn't make the album, but it's still one I like a lot. There were so many other tracks to select from. Also I thought the production was lacking. However, 15 songs did make it, and you can listen to sound bytes of those at my website:

I have one more site for you to check out if you feel inclined. A few months ago I attended the wedding of a friend on the Isle of man. I have to say, it's probably the best one I've ever been to. I'm going to give you a link where you can check out some of the pics. I make an appearance in a few. Their favourite of me is where I was captured standing windswept on the top of mount Snaefell. Go take a look

My Dad. Part 7.

Nan always adored my father. Regardless of all the things he did. Just about everyone else in the family were angels compared to him. He was a loveable rogue. I was unaware of his existence until I was 18 years old. After I found out, I pondered over it for a little while and then left it until I was 21. I finally found him through my Grandmother Lily. Another person I'd never met. Once I had located her address, I went straight round there. I didn't really know what to think as I was waiting outside the door. I used to watch families being reunited on TV shows. The tears and everything, but I have to say that I felt very little emotion at all. The only feeling in me was that I was curious. When the door opened I was greeted with a little white haired lady who just said "Hello". I think I said something like "Hello, are you Lily?". She affirmed it. I then told her that I was John's son, Jeffrey. She smiled and invited me inside. I was quite surprised, because she lived in a neighbourhood that wasn't very pleasant. I could have been anybody, and she just invited me in. It has been said a number of times that I physically resemble my father, so maybe she saw that by looking at me. So out came the tea and biscuits, and all the old photographs. Whilst I was there, she made a call to him and he arranged to meet me in his local pub. Quite astonishing really, considering he hid from his other children.

So with the meeting arranged, I made my way to the pub at the given time. First of all going into the wrong section of the pub. I quickly found the right bar with the help of direction. As I walked in, all eyes were on me, and there was a crowd of people in the corner of the bar. My father being one of them. What do you do in those situations. I just homed in on him and said "Hello Dad". Then gave him a quick hug. I'd be lying if i said there was any emotion in that embrace. This is the first time I'd met this person. He was just like a stranger. I thought he was quite nervous at first, but that all changed after the introduction. It was party time.

There's more on his life in future posts. Plus some celebrity stuff too.

To be continued.......

The next song I'll be talking about is a collaboration with an extremely talented Swedish musician called "Ulf"!
